A more even distribution of light is required and a central light or multi head bar with halogen lights will be instrumental in achieving this. An alternative is the use of downlighters mounted within the ceiling.
Finally, under cupboard lights can be used to illuminate work surfaces and these must run cool particularly where food is being stored in the cupboard above.
