2D Tubes
Widely used in bathrooms and kitchens, 2D tubes produce a bright, clear light when switched on. These circular bulbs offer a similar brightness as a fluorescent or LED light and can be found in areas that are hard to reach or require a lot of light – stairwells, corridors, bathrooms, kitchens or even utility areas to name just a few.
Typically, there are only three wattage levels available for light tubes: 16w, 28w and 38w. It’s good to know that the 16w will usually have a smaller bulb in comparison to the 28w and 38w options, so be sure to check your light fitting before ordering your tube.
Changing a 2D light bulb is easy to do. Before you begin make sure the light is switched off, then simply remove its cover. After that, hold the centre of the 2D bulb unit and pull it out of the fitting, before pushing the new 2D bulb into the fitting. Finish by replacing the cover and you’re all done.
