Anglepoise Lamps and lighting including the Anglepoise Type 75, Type1228 And Type 3 Lamps have all originated from George Carwardine of Bath when in 1935 he wanted a light that could illuminate the underneath of car engines when he was working on them. Development led to the design of todays famous Anglepoise lamps. The Unique 3 spring design allows for a huge degree of movement.
